Army Regulation 600-8-19 has been updated via a rapid action revision dated 27 December 2011. Titled Enlisted Promotions and Reductions, this reg is an important reference concerning advancement through the Army ranks. Changes include: Clarifies military education waivers for recommendation and promotion (tables 3-3 and 3-4). AR 670-1 Misfire

There have been rumors circulating about an update to AR 670-1 effective 1 March 2011. We have just confirmed through official Army channels that this document is NOT an official release. The current version of the Army Uniform reg is effective 3 Feb 2005. New phase: Afghanistan Campaign Medal

HRC Awards Branch has provided the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Personnel & Readiness) memo which announces the establishment of a new campaign phase for the ACM.  The new campaign phase is “Transition I”, and the beginning date is 1 Jul 11. “Consolidation III” has been closed out effective 30 Jun 11.  HRC Awards Branch will be publishing a MILPER message at a date to be determined.
