All promotable SPC, CPL, & SGTs are affected by the new system. Effective 1 June 2011 promotions, you will have a revised promotion point score automatically calculated by using promotion point eligible data that exists in your personnel and training records. Promotions effective 1 June 2011 and after will use the Soldier’s real-time score in calculating the mothly cut-off scores for each MOS.The key areas that will change are the removal of commander’s points & board points, the addition of points for combat experience, and the recalculation of points for every field when going up for SGT or SSG.
Soldiers will still be required to appear before a promotion board however points will not be awarded. Members of the board will simply vote on a go/no-go basis. If you are already promotable, there is no need for you to re-board.

I can guarantee the reason for you losing your promotable status was not simply due to the change over to the new system.
In order to find out why you were removed from the promotion standing list, review these two items on your ERB:
1. APFT Date- must not be older than 1 year as of April 2011.
2. Civilian Education- must list the level of completion. GED or higher.
If any of these are incorrect, you can safely assume that is the reason why you were removed. Please review your ERB and get with your S1 for more guidance. If your APFT date is older than one year but you have a recent one, your S1 will simply have to input the score into the personnel system (eMILPO) and reintegrate you onto the promotion standing list (PPW system).

Would you be able to reference this as I have been looking for documentation on this and my S1 cannot prove me with a clear answer. I was promotable before the new system hit and now according to my Promotion Point Worksheet, I am no longer promotable.
