More than likely no.

Discussion

You have an interesting question. I would say you might be able to obtain a wavier to enroll in these courses. I would suggest you go to: http://www.atsc.army.mil/accp/aipdnew.asp

This is the AIPD site (Army Institute for Professional Development). At the bottom of the page there is a link to request assistance. You might also want to review TRADOC Regulation: 350-70 and ARMY Pamphlet 351-20, AR 350-59.

Another approach would be to look in the front of the regulation and contact the office responsible for the Army Correspondence Program and disscuss the issue with them as they would most likely be the office that would grant a waiver for you to enroll.

On another note if you have the GI Bill available it will pay for certifications in certain fields.  Check with the local education center for assistance.

To my knowledge retirees are no longer allowed to take these courses. They have even restricted which courses active duty can take.
