When I received an Article 15 with a suspended reduction and I was later reduced in grade- Do I have to repay the money

The comprehensive guide to the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP)

Short Answer:

No you will not have to repay the money

Reference: AR 27-10 paragraph 3-21d

AR 27-10 extract:

Vacated suspended reduction – A suspended reduction, later vacated, is effective on the date the vacation is directed.

Discussion:

When a rank is taken as result of a vacated suspension you do not have to repay the money you received at the higher rank during the suspension period.  The date the pay stops is the date the rank was taken.
