Does a medical board prevent me from serving in a leadership position?

I am an E-5 in the National Guard. I am being Med boarded and wanted to know if this will stop me from being a team or squad leader?

The fact that the Soldier is in the MEB process has no bearing on what position the unit has him in.  However, if his medical appointments begin to interfere with the mission, then the command may replace him so he can concentrate on the MEB process.

Once a Soldier is officially entered into the IDES process, that takes priority over everything else.  There is a MILPERCEN or ALARACT message directing this, but I would have to dig for it.  CT NG may have different directives of course than active army.
