Based on the information we received from our SME a Soldier can only receive 1 form of payment. Therefore reporting for IDT means you would not be paid for it or would potentially receive two payments one of which would have to be paid back (supposedly). So it appears you would not have to report for IDT. However since this most likely involves a order from your commander it would be prudent to follow the order until everything is sorted out. Keep in mind your commander is potentially responsible if you sustain any additional injury due to the order. Your best bet would be to contact your IG and get a specific reading from them. You can contact them without providing your name or unit. Sorry we could not be more specific.
