Can I tell my NCO to piss-off?

I have about one week left in the Army and my squad leader is driving me nuts. I'm not really doing anything wrong. Can I just tell him to piss off? Can they really do anything to me?

The Mentor - A Comprehensive Guide to Army Counseling and Leadership

Sure you could tell him that if you like. Before you do, be prepared to potentially hang out with him on active duty a little longer. You see, that type of behavior would probably land you another 3-5 weeks of duty. The impact could be corrective training that lasts until your departure, a delay in your separation for an Article 15, or (depending on how you choose to express yourself) you might enjoy a longer-than-anticipated stay while you hang out for a court martial.

That said, why would you even want to bother? You have made it this far, be professional and exit the service with your head held high. In the end the only person who loses when you make a poor choice is you.

That depends. If your leader believes you are abusing breaks and/or taking too much time away from work he can assist you in managing your time within reason. You might find the answer to this question helpful: Can I ban a Soldier From Smoking at Work?

I went AWOL from a NG unit after cussing out my 1st sgt. I even threatened the bum with death if he ever messed with me again. Got a good discharge so dont worry abt it. You dont have to take BS from some prick just because he has rank. Just speak ur mind.

As the former National Guardsman indicates, he was discharged for less-than-professional conduct. He has illustrated my point and confirmed my original thesis.

I find your advice misleading to other soldiers, just because you received a Honorable Discharge does not mean someone else will.
