This response is provided based on the information you shared and should not be used as the sole source for making a decision. You should seek guidance from the chain of command, IG, JAG or other certified agencies before making any decisions. How you chose to use this information is totally up to you and is your sole responsibility.

A change is possible. You should consider contacting your assignment manager at HRC and see if they are open to allowing you to remain at Ft. Hood. or do a short tour and return to Hood.

You would also need to submit a 4187 requesting this action through your S-1 shop.

Another option might be to speak with your reup NCO and ask them to see if they can work the system to allow you to stay at hood.

You should also consider enrolling in the Army Married Couples Program. This may help you be assigned together in the future.

Hope this helps to some degree.
