This is an Individual Equipment Load Standing Operating Procedure (SOP). It can be used as an example of how to write an Individual Equipment Load Standing Operating Procedure (SOP). This SOP describes the standard individual equipment loads to be used by this Corps. It does not address uniform components which are covered by regulation or miscellaneous items. It is not necessarily a complete list but designates the key items required for mission capability. These loads may be modified by the local commander if required by local conditions. The purpose of this SOP is to establish a uniform loading system which can easily be communicated in training schedules and operations orders.
