Course Purpose: The objective of the TATS Construction Engineer Supervisor Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course (BNCOC), is to provide 21W, 21H, 21K and 21R noncommissioned officers (NCOs) with the knowledge and technical skills required to inspect and plan vertical construction projects; to lead and train the soldiers in their squads or sections; and to assist in directing combat engineer missions.  The technical training is based on the MOS 21H30 critical tasks and consists of training in the following subjects:

a.    Common Leader Training (CLT)
b.    Common Engineer Training (CET)
c.    21H30 MOS Specific Tasks – Construction Engineer Supervisor

  • Read Construction Prints and Drawings
  • Prepare a Bill of Materials
  • Schedule Work
  • Utilize a Framing Square
  • Supervise the Construction of Concrete Forms and Structures
  • Calculate Materials for Masonry Structures
  • Supervise the Construction of Wood Frame Structures
  • Supervise the Installation of Building Utilities
