This regulation setsĀ Army policy and responsibilities on HIV testing and surveillance requirements; procedures for identification, surveillance, and administration of personnel infected with HIV; testing and counseling procedures for Soldiers and other military health care beneficiaries for HIV infection;requirements for testing military applicants; conditions under which civilian employees may be tested; procedures for administration of HIV infected Active Army, Army National Guard/Army National Guard of the United States, and U. S. Army Reserve Soldiers; guidance on the limitations on the use of testing information; information and education requirements of the HIV testing program; and guidance to law enforcement and corrections personnel in handling known or suspected HIV infected personnel.
