Class/briefing that teaches performance measures on how to use force, it is intended to provide training on the levels of force IAW AR 190-14.  This training is applicable to for soldiers assigned to perform Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection (AT/FP) guard duties during increased threat conditions. It teaches that Soldiers performing guard/security related duties will avoid the use of force where they can carry out their duties without resorting to its use.  In such a case where the use of force is warranted, soldiers performing guard duties will use the minimum amount of force necessary to reach their objective.  Only as a last resort will deadly force be used. It also coves the three performance measures used to decide what level of force is appropriate for the situation. The  performance measures are Performance Measure 1, Performance Measures 2, and Performance Measure 3 which the definitions for each are covered in the class/briefing and AR 190-14.
