The class/briefing teaches how to react to a Chemical Biological Hazard. It teaches student the signs to look for and what should be done whan they identify CB attack indicators: immediately notify your supervisor; within one minute of discovering contamination, decontaminate yourself; after you completely decontaminate yourself, decontaminate individual equipment. It identifies the following Automatic Masking Criteria:

  • A chemical alarm sounds.
  • A positive reading is obtained on detector paper.
  • Individuals exhibit symptoms of CB agent poisoning.
  • You observe a contamination marker.
  • Supervisor tells you to mask.
  • You see personnel wearing protective masks.
  • You observe other signs of possible CB attack.
