ThisĀ ATTP provides doctrinal guidance and considerations for Army forces conducting site exploitation operations. The definition of site exploitation appears in FM 1-02. It discusses conducting site exploitation operations, with an emphasis on the operations process, the purposes for site exploitation, and the framework for executing site exploitation operations. It discusses specialized Army assets that support site exploitation. It discusses considerations related to sensitive sites. Sensitive sites are described in terms of a broad range of risks and challenges, not just weapons of mass destruction. It discusses joint and national organizations that support site exploitation. It discusses evidence collection, handling, and documentation, to support units that must handle evidence without the help of trained law enforcement personnel.
