This regulation prescribes policies and procedures for presenting the circumstances of fatal training/operational accidents to a soldier’s primary next of kin and other family members designated by the PNOK, as defined in DODI 1300.18. This regulation is for the guidance of Army personnel. It is not intended to, and does not, create any substantial privilege or procedure, right, or benefit enforceable at law or equities for its officers, employees, or any other person.
