This TC provides a training program for the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV cargo variants) vehicle operator according to AR 600-55. It was designed for the Medium Tactical Vehicle 5-ton cargo truck, but also may be used for the Light Medium Tactical Vehicles 2 1/2-ton cargo variant. It provides standardized training and testing in the operation, maintenance, and safety of this vehicle. It stresses hands-on training with minimal classroom instruction and does not include any theater-unique requirements.
