One usually doesn’t think of a realty specialist as a vital member of the “first wave” when the United States sends military troops overseas. But as a member of the Contingency Real Estate Support Team (CREST), that is precisely what Donna Goldstorm is prepared to do. “It is great opportunity for public service,” explains Donna, the Chief of Real Estate in the Corps’ Pittsburgh District. “The military needs us. Before it goes into a foreign country to build an airstrip for the troops, somebody has to get the land rights from foreign governments. That’s where Corps’ realty specialists step in.”
