Where can I find a list of resident military schools that I can attend to earn promotion points?

Regarding the Resident Military Training Courses: how can I find out what classes are currently being offered? Can I attend a course that is outside of my MOS? Are there any classes online that I can take that will count for promotion points in the Resident Military Training category?

Your Training NCO or Schools NCO in the S3 can tell you what resident schools are available at your post. Resident courses available on installations are commonly referred to as ”Troop Schools.” A list is usually on hand in the S3 section which includes the course titles, class numbers, and the course dates.

Every course requires a DA Form 4187. Some courses require other forms that you can attain from your Schools NCO/Training NCO.

Resident courses cannot be completed online. Only computer based training such as ACCP or Skillport can be completed online.
