This documents walks you through the NSPS evaluation process but also contains information on evaluation standards. They compiled this NSPS Guide for Performance Plans to help MDA supervisors and employees understand and complete the NSPS performance management process. Performance management consists of two cycles: the appraisal cycle and the pay pool cycle. This guide will lead you through the appraisal cycle, which is a series of events, activities, and discussions that take place between the supervisor and the employee. This guide will also lead supervisors through the rating process of the pay pool cycle.
