      Geraldine,
If you are totally dependent upon the Soldier then yes you can officially become a dependent of the Soldier and live and travel with them.

    Dominique,
I am going to presume you mean to make your aunt loco parentis for your child and that you are military or a military dependent.

You can give your aunt the authority of being loco parentis with a Power of Attorney on a temporary basis. Normally for a year at a time for the aunt to take care of your child(ren) while you are deployed, TDY, etc. This can be renewed yearly.

If you want to do it on a permanent basis then you normally would go through the state courts where you are currently living.

In either case, make an appointment with your servicing Legal Assistance Office where you are stationed. An attorney in that office can arrange for the Power of Attorney if appropriate or advise you on a more permanent solution to your request if need be.

I hope you found this useful.
