The purpose of this document is to provide a reference for submitting Article 15 packets. This format will ensure packets are completed in a timely manner and returned to the unit as soon as possible. For Article 15s, [Summarized, Company Grade, or Field Grade,] certain items must be submitted with the initial packet to properly process the unit’s request:
- Legal request form: This form must be filled out by the commander stating what type of action is being requested.
- Supporting Documents: Evidence must be included to support the offense the soldier allegedly committed. The unit must submit the supporting documentation listed in this SOP.
