This handbook provides a guide for US Army National Guard Officer Candidate School students and cadre. The intent of this handbook is to ensure that National Guard OCS Candidates nationwide share one common standard. It facilitates the cross-state and cross-TASS region boundary training of US Army officer candidates. The Mission is to train selected personnel in the fundamentals of leadership and basic military skills; instill the professional and physical fitness ethic; evaluate leadership potential; and commission those who qualify as second lieutenants in the Total Force.
