This regulation establishes the ammunition peculiar equipment and ammunition gage programs. Prescribes authority, policy, and methods for providing worldwide APE to support ammunition operations. These include surveillance, demilitarization, maintenance, renovation, modification, packaging, and preservation. Gives HQDA the means to provide this equipment and establish the goals, policies, and duties for the management, development, supply, and proper utilization of APE.
