This regulation establishes Department of the Army policy on the prevention, identification, reporting, investigation, and treatment of spouse and child abuse. This regulation also assigns responsibility for the Family advocacy program in accordance with DODDs 6400.1 and 1030.1; DOD 6400.1–M; and DODIs 6400.2, 6400.3, 1342.24, and 1402.5.
