I maxed out my push-ups, sit-ups, but on the run I cramped up and I ended up being a PT failure! What can I do?

There are two problems here.

One, the cramps came because your body was dehydrated. See my tip in MAX Out the Army, Navy, Marine, and Air Force Physical Fitness and Combat Fitness Tests so you never have to worry about being dehydrated daily, but at least for your fitness test.

Secondly, we need to work on dropping your run time so that even if you got a cramp, you could still pass your PT test.

And third, until you drop your run time by a minute (over two miles), then perform about 10 less push-ups and sit-ups on your PT test day so you have extra energy in store for your run.
