Can NCOs conduct corrective training without a DA Form 4856?

Can NCOs conduct corrective training without a DA Form 4856? It seems to me that they should have to document the problem with counseling.

To my knowledge there is no regulatory requirement for corrective training to be documented on a DA Form 4856. The primary purpose of corrective training is to correct substandard performance. The rules for corrective training are simple:  The corrective training must be in line with the offense, should be supervised, and must end once the Soldier has obtained proficiency in the substandard performance. You can find references to corrective training in AR 27-10, AR 600-20, FM 27-1, and FM 7-22.7.
