What is required of a Soldier that gets quarters and lives in the barrack?

If a Soldier resides in the barracks and receives a 24 hour quarter slip what is the Soldier authorized to do and not to do during that 24 hour period

The Board Master - Army Promotion Board Study Guide

Typically this means you will stay in your room and in some cases your are allowed to go to the DFAC when it is reasonable for you to do so.  For Soldiers that are incapacitated the command usually designates someone to bring the meals to the Soldier.

Therefore the Soldier should be resting and recovering for the specified period.  Your chain of command may allow an exception if you desire to stay off post at a specific location but you will need approval for this.

We lost a UCMJ on this because legal said that sick quarters is not a restriction thus the COC cannot confine someone to their barracks room, but you are only bringing unnecessary heat on yourself if your roaming around base in civilians while on sick quarters.

Nick, brings up a good point. The best course of action is to discuss the issue with your chain of command. They need to know you are not out goofing off. No one needs that kind of attention.
